BOTTEGA IL VINO DEL AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA DOCG 750ML
Bottega “Il Vino degli Dei” Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, with its origin, tasting notes, and serving suggestions. Good for menus, wine lists, or promotional material:
Bottega “Il Vino degli Dei” Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG
- Producer / Brand: Bottega SpA — “Il Vino degli Dei” line
- Region: Valpolicella, Veneto, Italy
Grapes: Traditional blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara - Vintage/Cellaring: Example 2019. Aged roughly 24–30 months in oak barrels (times may vary) before bottling.
Tasting Profile
- Appearance: Deep, intense ruby red with garnet hues
- Aroma: Rich bouquet of dried and ripe red fruits (marasca cherry, morello cherry, raspberry jam), plus notes of raisin / dried grapes, nutmeg, chocolate, spices, and subtle vanilla from oak aging.
- Palate: Full-bodied, warm and powerful yet balanced. Soft but firm tannins, good structure, velvety texture. Flavor carries through fruit, spice, and oak—often with a long, lingering finish.
Technical & Serving Details
- Alcohol by Volume (ABV): ~15–16.5% depending on vintage.
- Residual Sugar: Low-moderate (2-5 g/L) — Amarone is a dry wine, though retains richness from the appassimento/drying process.
- Total Acidity: In the range of ~5-6.5 g/L
- Serving Temperature: Best at 18-20°C to let its aromas and structure fully open.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Pairs beautifully with:
- Braised red meats or roasted game
- Mature, flavorful cheeses (aged cheeses)
- Rich stews, slow-cooked dishes, and even hearty grilled red meats or lamb
- Also excellent as a “meditation wine” — to be enjoyed slowly, perhaps at the end of a special meal.
